A striking mid-century landscape painting by Swedish artist Harry Moberg, depicting a colourful rural scene of buildings, trees, winding road over a bridge and distant mountains. The work is painted in Moberg’s distinctive expressive style, combining bold colour, simplified forms and energetic brushwork to create a wonderfully atmospheric Scandinavian landscape.

The composition is rich in colour, with turquoise blues, earthy reds, ochres, greens and warm terracotta tones working together to create a vibrant yet harmonious scene. A small figure in the foreground adds a sense of scale and movement, while the winding road leads the eye through the composition towards the buildings and mountainous landscape beyond.

The painting is presented in its original period frame, a decorative wooden frame which complements the strong colours and authentic mid-century character of the work.
